Fox Corporation launches new sports channels on izzi and SKY in Mexico
Fox Corporation has expanded its sports broadcasting reach in Mexico through the launch of FOX and FOX+ channels on the izzi and SKY pay TV platforms. The rollout, which began on August 31, 2026, follows the removal of Fox Sports México signals from these providers on August 30. The new channels are distinct from the Fox Sports México entity owned by Grupo Lauman.
The new programming includes major international and domestic sports rights, such as the NFL, Liga MX, UEFA Champions League, Premier League, Bundesliga, and MLB. On izzi, viewers can access FOX on channel 502 and FOX+ on channel 540, while SKY subscribers can find them on channels 1551 and 1565.
This shift occurs amid changing consumption habits in Mexico. An IBM Sports Intelligence Report by Morning Consult indicates that 73% of Mexican sports fans use social media for content, and 28% utilize subscription streaming for live events, surpassing the 25% who rely on traditional television.
