Fox enters MP George Freeman's Westminster office
A fox successfully bypassed security to enter the fourth-floor office of Conservative MP George Freeman at Portcullis House in Westminster. The animal was discovered on a Monday morning by a parliamentary caseworker hiding inside a stationery cupboard.
Parliamentary pest control teams were dispatched to handle the situation. The fox was provided with water before being safely escorted out and released into the nearby Victoria Tower Gardens.
MP George Freeman noted that while foxes are common in London, finding one in a high-level office cupboard was unprecedented. He suggested the animal might have followed cleaners into the building or been trapped inside over the weekend, stating the incident did not constitute a security problem.
