Fox News dismisses longtime host Maria Bartiromo

Fox News has parted ways with longtime host Maria Bartiromo after approximately 12 years with the network. The dismissal follows reports that Bartiromo disclosed internal executive instructions to the White House. Specifically, she allegedly shared a text message from a Fox Business executive warning against covering certain election-related claims made by Donald Trump, which was subsequently relayed to the administration by Peter Navarro.

Fox News issued an official statement thanking Bartiromo for her work and wishing her well in her next chapter. Her programs, including ‘Sunday Morning Futures’, are being rebranded or reassigned, with former congressman Jason Chaffetz named as a replacement for her Sunday morning slot.

While the network has removed her from the air, reports suggest she may remain under contract until 2029. The departure has sparked a backlash among some supporters of Donald Trump, with some viewers threatening to migrate to competing networks.
