Fox Sports and NYRA secure exclusive Del Mar broadcast rights for 2027

Fox Sports announced a multiyear agreement with the New York Racing Association (NYRA) that makes the network the exclusive television home for live horse racing at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club starting in 2027. The deal covers the track’s summer and fall meets and adds to Fox’s existing horse‑racing portfolio, which already includes the Belmont Stakes and Saratoga Race Course.

As a preview, FS1 will televise the Grade 1 Pacific Classic Stakes on August 22, 2026. The partnership aligns with Fox’s minority ownership in the NYRA Bets wagering platform and follows speculation that the two partners may develop a free‑to‑air service similar to NFL RedZone. The agreement expands Fox’s live horse‑racing inventory to more than 1,000 hours annually.

Fox executives highlighted the appeal of Del Mar’s coastal setting, while Del Mar officials expressed enthusiasm about joining Fox’s national coverage of premier summer racing on both coasts.
