Fox Sports and The CW announce 2026 college football plans

Major broadcasters have announced their lineups and production strategies for the 2026 college football season.

Fox Sports has revealed its broadcasting roster, featuring several personnel changes. Connor Onion will succeed Jason Benetti in the network’s No. 2 booth alongside Robert Griffin III and Alexa Landestoy. The No. 1 booth, consisting of Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt, and Jenny Taft, remains unchanged. The Big Noon Kickoff team will continue to feature Rob Stone, Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart, Mark Ingram, and Urban Meyer, with Dave Portnoy returning for a second season. Additionally, former NFL player Rob Gronkowski will join the show as a regular contributor.

The CW is expanding its college football coverage to 140 hours of live action, broadcasting games from the Pac-12, Mountain West, and Atlantic Coast Conference. To manage the high volume of games, the network is utilizing a new studio at Goal Line Studios in Pleasanton, California. The facility will use augmented-reality technology and real-time rendering to allow for quick transitions between different conferences, adjusting logos, colors, and backgrounds to match the specific games being aired.
