Foxconn Q2 profit rises 35% on surging AI server demand

Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) reported a 35% year-on-year increase in second-quarter net profit, reaching T$59.97 billion ($1.86 billion), surpassing analyst estimates of T$58.8 billion. The company's revenue grew by 41% to T$2.526 trillion.

This growth marks a significant structural shift in Foxconn's business model. For the first time, cloud and networking products—primarily AI servers for clients like Nvidia—accounted for 51% of total revenue. This segment has overtaken the smart consumer electronics division, which includes iPhone assembly, which now represents 29% of revenue.

To support the rising demand for AI infrastructure, Foxconn is expanding its manufacturing footprint, including the development of facilities in Mexico and Texas to produce AI servers. Additionally, the company has shifted much of its iPhone production for the U.S. market to India. Management expects the AI investment cycle to continue for at least three to five years.
