Foxconn Secures $52 B SpaceX AI Server Contract

Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry, known as Foxconn, has secured its first contract to manufacture artificial‑intelligence servers for Elon Musk's SpaceX. The deal, reported by Taiwan’s Economic Daily, is valued at roughly $52 billion and calls for the supply of about 13,000 NVIDIA GB300 AI server racks, each costing around $4 million. Deliveries are expected to begin in late 2026 and continue into the first quarter of 2027. The order ends the previous dominance of Dell Technologies and Super Micro Computer in SpaceX’s AI‑server procurement and bolsters Foxconn’s push to capture roughly 40 % of the global AI‑server market by the end of 2026. SpaceX is expanding its AI computing infrastructure, adding the new racks to its existing Colossus data centers that already host hundreds of thousands of GPUs and complement agreements with Google, Anthropic and the U.S. Department of Defense.
