Fox's Tubi appoints new CEO and adds SiriusXM video podcasts
Fox Corporation's free‑streaming service Tubi announced a leadership change as founder Farhad Massoudi departs and former Fox CTO Paul Cheesbrough is named CEO of the newly created Tubi Media Group, which consolidates the company's digital assets. The move follows Fox's 2020 acquisition of Tubi for $440 million and aims to strengthen the ad‑supported video‑on‑demand platform.
In a separate partnership, SiriusXM's podcast network will distribute a slate of video podcasts on Tubi, reaching the platform's roughly 100 million monthly active users. The non‑exclusive deal includes shows such as "Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend" and "The Deep 3 Podcast," with advertising revenue shared between Tubi and SiriusXM. The collaboration expands video‑podcast availability across connected TVs, web and mobile devices.
