Foxtel Group appoints Peter O’Connell as CEO

Foxtel Group has announced a major leadership transition as Patrick Delany moves to a global role within its parent company, DAZN Group. Delany, who has led Foxtel for over 20 years, will relocate to London to serve as DAZN’s Chief Operating Officer. In this expanded capacity, he will report to DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev and oversee global operations, including marketing, content, sports rights, and subscriber growth.

Peter O’Connell has been appointed as the new CEO of Foxtel Group. O’Connell, a former Amaysim founder and current chairman of Superloop and Autosports, has served as an independent director on the Foxtel Group board since 2025. He previously advised on the group’s recent NRL rights deal, which secures Kayo Sports and Foxtel partnerships through 2034.

Additionally, Mark Frain has been promoted to the newly created position of CEO of Streaming and Advertising. Frain, formerly the CEO of DAZN Media+, will now oversee the group’s advertising business alongside the Kayo Sports and Binge subscription services.
