Foxtron achieves dual ISO certifications for vehicle cybersecurity and OTA updates
Foxtron has obtained two international certifications from DEKRA, focusing on vehicle cybersecurity and software update management. The company successfully passed assessments for ISO/SAE 21434, which governs road vehicle cybersecurity engineering, and ISO 24089, which addresses road vehicle software update engineering.
These certifications aim to strengthen Foxtron’s ability to manage risks throughout the vehicle lifecycle, particularly as software-defined vehicles (SDV) increasingly rely on Over-the-Air (OTA) updates. By implementing ‘Security by Design,’ Foxtron intends to ensure software integrity, version traceability, and secure deployment processes for its electric vehicle platforms.
Foxtron, a joint venture between Hon Hai Precision Industry and Yulon Group, stated that these milestones are essential for enhancing whole-vehicle development capabilities and meeting global regulatory requirements for smart electric vehicles.
