Foyle Port partners with Foyle Women’s Aid to combat domestic abuse

Foyle Port has announced a new partnership with Foyle Women’s Aid, a charity based in Derry~Londonderry dedicated to eliminating domestic abuse and sexual violence. The charity was selected by Foyle Port employees through a nomination process.

As part of the collaboration, Foyle Port will provide £15,000 in funding over the next year. This support aims to assist Foyle Women’s Aid in its efforts to tackle abuse in the North West through awareness, preventive education, and support for vulnerable women in areas including Derry~Londonderry, Strabane, Limavady, and Dungiven.

Additionally, Foyle Women’s Aid will provide expert training to Foyle Port regarding the company’s new Domestic Abuse Policy to foster a safer workplace. Marie Brown, Chief Executive of Foyle Women’s Aid, noted that the funding will significantly impact their work in support, prevention, protection, and justice.
