Fozzy Group logistics site struck by Russian bombardment near Kyiv

A Russian bombardment in the Kyiv region on the night of August 19-20 struck a logistics site belonging to Fozzy Group, a major Ukrainian distribution group. The attack, which occurred within the context of broader strikes on Kyiv, resulted in 15 deaths.

Fozzy Group operates the Silpo supermarket chain and serves as a key commercial partner for the Italian company Bottega, which distributes its wines and Prosecco through the group's network. This incident follows a previous strike on August 4 near Kvitneve and Brovary that damaged a Silpo warehouse, causing significant structural damage and destroying approximately 120,000 euros worth of Bottega spirits and wine.

Sandro Bottega, CEO of the Treviso-based company, expressed condolences to the victims and their families, noting that while the company suffers indirect damage, it intends to continue its operations and production for global markets.
