FP Markets secures UAE regulatory licence and appoints AI lead

FP Markets, a global multi-asset broker, has secured a Category 5 Licence from the UAE’s Capital Market Authority (CMA). The licence, held by FP Markets MENA Securities L. L. C. S. O. C., allows the firm to conduct marketing, promotional, and client introduction activities within Dubai and across the Emirates.

In tandem with its regulatory expansion, the broker is undergoing a leadership and technological shift. Geo Nicolaidis, formerly an executive at Deriv, has joined FP Markets as Head of AI Transformation. In this role, Nicolaidis will focus on transitioning the company toward an ‘AI Native future’ by developing AI guardrails, automating manual workflows, and training cross-functional teams.

These moves follow a series of recent executive appointments at the firm’s Cyprus office, including the addition of Nikolay Nikolaev as CTO and Haris Sergiou as Global Head of Business Development.
