FPT Industrial launches F5 Long Block engine range for off-road use

FPT Industrial, an Iveco Group company, has announced the global launch of the F5 Long Block engine range specifically designed for off-road vehicle applications. The new units are manufactured at FPT plants in Foggia, Italy, and Garchizy, France.

As a partially complete engine assembly, the F5 Long Block includes essential mechanical components such as the cylinder block, crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods, cylinder head, and various pumps. This solution is intended to complement the existing F1A and F1C Long Block series, which are dedicated to on-road applications.

The F5 Long Block is designed to offer a cost-effective repair option by allowing customers to transfer components from an old engine to the replacement unit. This approach aims to reduce total operating costs and minimize vehicle downtime. Additionally, the product is intended to simplify inventory management for workshops by providing a versatile solution compatible with a wide range of off-road engine configurations.
