Fragrance industry shifts toward warm, creamy scents for autumn
The fragrance market is seeing a seasonal shift toward warmer, more complex scents as autumn approaches. Carolina Herrera has introduced ‘La Bomba Intense’, an Eau de Parfum designed for evening wear and special occasions. Created by perfumers Christophe Raynaud, Louise Turner, and Quentin Bisch, the scent features notes of wild berries, raspberry, Venezuelan orchid, and red amber to create a floral, ambery, and fruity profile.
In addition to new luxury releases, there is a growing trend toward ‘sweet skin’ effects—creamy fragrances that provide warmth without being cloying. Notable options include Fragonard’s ‘Juste un Baiser’, an eau de toilette combining apple, Italian bergamot, and cherry blossom with a sandalwood and vanilla base, and Phlur’s ‘Vanilla Skin’, a gourmand scent featuring pink pepper, rose apple, and sugar crystals.
