Fragrance industry spotlights therapeutic benefits and unveils summer 2026 perfume collection

A study by the University of Ruhr in Germany found that inhaling orange‑blossom aroma reduced cortisol levels by 23 % in under ten minutes, illustrating how floral scents can trigger the limbic system and affect stress, mood and concentration. The article also outlines how aromas such as lavender, neroli, ylang‑ylang, tuberose and patchouli are being used for specific emotional and cognitive effects.

Perfume houses have announced a summer 2026 lineup of 26 new fragrances. Highlights include Aurélien Guichard’s metallic lavender blend, Artisan Parfumeur’s Mandarina Corsica (mandarin and immortelle), Mr Smith’s Indigo (galbanum, green mandarin and patchouli), Burberry’s Her (blackberry, jasmine and vanilla‑musk) and Bon Parfumeur’s Riviera Absolue, each with price points ranging from €105 to €250 per 100 ml.
