Fragrance selection and the psychological impact of scents

Research indicates that scents, such as those mimicking cola, do not have a universal effect on mood. Instead, the emotional response to a fragrance depends on personal associations, memories, and individual preferences. For example, a scent may improve well-being if it evokes positive memories of social gatherings or vacations, but its effectiveness is subjective and varies from person to person.

When selecting fragrances, particularly Arabic perfumes, for different settings like work or social outings, it is recommended to consider the specific environment. Factors such as commuting in shared spaces, office proximity, and the duration of scent exposure should be evaluated to ensure the fragrance is appropriate for the surroundings and personal comfort.
