Framework, known for modular notebooks, previewed a high‑end desktop configuration at AMD’s Advancing AI 2026 event. The system is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor with 16 Zen 5 cores, a boost clock up to 5.2 GHz, an integrated Radeon 8065S GPU and a 55 TOPS neural‑processing unit.
It ships with 192 GB of LPDDR5X unified memory running at 8533 MT/s, delivering 273 GB/s bandwidth – a 50 % capacity increase and 6.6 % bandwidth gain over the previous 128 GB model. The memory size enables local execution of very large language models, such as DeepSeek‑V4‑Flash (up to 300 billion parameters, roughly 284 billion total parameters) in Q8 quantisation, which requires around 162 GB of RAM, leaving space for larger context windows.
The desktop features an open‑ended PCIe‑x4 slot that can accommodate longer expansion cards, and Framework demonstrated a two‑node cluster linked by 50‑GbE RoCE networking, sharing 384 GB of memory with low latency.
