Igor Jovićević returns as Ludogorets head coach

Igor Jovićević has officially returned as the head coach of Ludogorets. The Croatian manager, who previously led the club to a domestic treble in the 2024/25 season, has signed a contract through the end of the 2027/28 season.

Jovićević returns to Razgrad following a stint with the Polish club Widzew Łódź. He arrives with a partial coaching staff, including Ukrainian assistants Andriy Hanas and Yuriy Beno, and Spanish fitness coach Javier Laurena. His official presentation is scheduled for September 26 at the Huvepharma Arena.

The appointment follows a period of instability for Ludogorets, which saw the departure of Thomas Reis and a decline in domestic dominance, including a third-place finish in the league. Jovićević was reportedly considered for the Dinamo Zagreb managerial position before finalizing his return to Bulgaria.
