Fran García-Huidobro criticizes Chilean Women's Minister

Chilean media personality Fran García-Huidobro has issued a sharp public critique of Judith Marín, the Minister of Women and Gender Equality. During a podcast episode of ‘La Verdad Rosa’, García-Huidobro accused the minister of total inaction regarding urgent issues such as femicide and legislative debates, including the ‘Escucha su corazón’ bill.

García-Huidobro expressed concern that the ministry has failed to represent all citizens, specifically alleging that the LGBTIQ community has been excluded from key conversations. She further criticized the minister for potentially allowing personal religious beliefs to influence public policy, noting that Chile is a secular state. The commentator concluded by stating that Marín risks being remembered as ‘the minister who did nothing’ and described her performance as a ‘shame’.
