Fran Guerra Set to Join CB Gran Canaria from CB Canarias

Journalist Óliver Suárez (Canarias7) reports that CB Gran Canaria is close to signing 34‑year‑old forward Fran Guerra from CB Canarias. Guerra, who has appeared 12 times for the Spanish national team and has played for Canarias since 2019, is said to have a buyout clause of €150,000‑€200,000 that Gran Canaria must meet. The club aims to build a cohesive squad to secure promotion to the ACB within nine months.

Gran Canaria's recruitment drive also includes other targets such as Juan Rubio and Joe Cremo, while Estudiantes have reinforced their roster by signing former Estudiantes center Jehyve Floyd, who previously played in Turkey, Greece and Japan. Both clubs are positioning themselves as strong candidates for promotion to Spain’s top league next season.
