Franca influencer stabs man suspected of abusing her daughter

In Franca, São Paulo, a 25-year-old digital influencer, Laryssa Campanati Pereira, stabbed a 41-year-old man, Maikel Wilker Martins, with a pocketknife following allegations of sexual abuse against her 5-year-old daughter.

The incident occurred on Monday, August 24, when the influencer encountered the suspect, who is reportedly her daughter's godfather, while attempting to discuss the allegations with a relative. The influencer claims she acted in self-defense after the man approached her aggressively during a period of emotional distress. Both parties received medical attention, and the knife was seized by authorities.

The Civil Police have launched two separate investigations: one into the physical assault (bodily injury) and another into the suspected rape of a vulnerable person. While the suspect was treated and released, the investigation into the child's allegations remains under strict confidentiality due to the victim's age.
