France 2 health program faces low viewership during transition

The health program ‘Le Mag de la Santé’ is experiencing lower-than-expected viewership following its recent transition to France 2. Since its relaunch on September 7, 2026, the show has undergone significant changes, including a new channel, a different time slot, a new set, and a new host, Flavie Flament.

Initial audience figures showed 520,000 viewers, representing a 10.1% market share, with numbers declining slightly over subsequent broadcasts. Marina Carrère d'Encausse, who hosted the program for 26 years, suggested that the low ratings may be due to a period of adaptation required by viewers following these major structural changes.

The current iteration of the show features Flavie Flament alongside medical experts Dr. Diana Kadouch and Dr. Gilbert Bou Jaoudé. Recent episodes have focused on specific health topics, such as varicose veins and venous circulation issues.
