While the film was shot in a real middle school in Noisy-le-Grand to enhance realism, producers have stated the story is a dramatic fiction rather than being based on a specific real-life case.

In terms of evening ratings, France 2 placed third behind M6, which aired ‘La France a un incroyable talent’ to 2.9 million viewers, and TF1, which aired episodes of the series ‘Tracker’ to between 2.4 and 2.7 million viewers.
