France 3 ends ‘Dimanche en politique’ as Letellier moves to France 2

France 3 will cease broadcasting the Sunday political programme “Dimanche en politique” after 15 years on air. The show, which drew about one million viewers on average, was the last purely national political news slot on the channel and will be replaced by regional programming on the network’s 24 local stations.

Long‑time presenter Francis Letellier, 61, will leave for France 2, where he will take over the interview segment “Les 4 vérités” on the morning show Télématin, succeeding Gilles Bornstein. The move coincides with France Télévisions’ launch of a new Sunday political programme on 30 August, hosted by Benjamin Duhamel and co‑broadcast on France Inter and France 2. The change is aimed at refreshing the broadcaster’s political coverage ahead of the upcoming presidential election.
