France advances digital sovereignty and AI security initiatives
Recent industry events in Paris have highlighted the growing focus on digital sovereignty, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity within the European ecosystem. At the 12th edition of the Summer Universities of Cyber and Trusted Cloud (UECC) held at Station F, leaders discussed the need for a robust European digital ecosystem to complement AI champions like Mistral.
Jean-Noël de Galzain, president of Hexatrust, emphasized that the French digital industry requires stronger support through public procurement to grow. In response, the French Minister Delegate for AI and Digital Affairs announced initiatives to map ministerial data dependencies and establish a ‘make or buy’ doctrine for public orders to ensure critical infrastructure remains under European control.
Additionally, the Klee Group has announced its Experience. 2026 event, scheduled for October 8 at Station F. This forum will address the industrialization of AI, the balance between automated intelligence and human expertise, and methods for maintaining information system security while navigating the limitations of standard market solutions.
