France-Algeria air travel market sees new summer flight offers

ASL Airlines France expanded its summer programme to the autumn holidays, adding more than 50 weekly flights to Algeria, including 37 to Algiers from French airports. The carrier introduced free priority handling for Flex‑type tickets and a student fare with a 10 % discount, a 59 kg baggage allowance and free changes up to three hours before departure. "These new offers demonstrate our commitment to facilitate travel between France and Algeria," said Bruno Besnehard, commercial director of ASL Airlines France.

Low‑cost carrier Transavia opened bookings for its summer 2027 schedule, offering flights from Marseille, Lyon, Montpellier, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Nantes and Paris‑Orly to Algiers and several other Algerian cities. Prices start at €48, with the airline promoting early‑bird fares and a broad network that includes Annaba, Béjaïa, Constantine, Oran, Sétif and Tlemcen. The announcements aim to capture the sizable Algerian diaspora and holiday travelers, intensifying competition on the France‑Algeria route.
