France and Bosnia secure knockout-stage spots at FIFA World Cup 2026

France defeated Iraq 3–0 in Philadelphia, with Kylian Mbappé scoring two goals and Osman Dembele adding a third. The match was delayed for more than two hours by heavy rain before play resumed.

In Seattle, Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Qatar 3–1. Goals came from Karim Alibegović, an own‑goal by captain Eden Žeko and substitute Armin Mahmić, while Qatar’s lone strike was scored by Hassan Al‑Haydos. Both victories keep the winners in contention for a place in the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
