France announces upcoming literary and writing competitions

Various literary and artistic competitions have been announced in France for the 2025-2027 periods.

The ‘Dis-moi dix mots’ competition, organized by the Ministry of Culture, invites primary and secondary students to engage in collective linguistic and artistic projects. The 2025-2026 theme focuses on ‘Dis-moi dix mots à venir’ (Tell me ten words to come), utilizing specific vocabulary such as ‘alunir’, ‘anticipation’, and ‘dystopique’. The 2026-2027 theme will be ‘Dis-moi dix mots à savourer’ (Tell me ten words to savor).

Additionally, the Senlis Media Library is hosting a writing contest for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults. Running from September 2026 to January 2027, the competition theme is ‘Tu te souviens?’ (Do you remember?). Participants must adhere to specific constraints, including the use of mandatory words such as ‘évanescent’ and ‘sempiternel’.
