GCE Board releases 2026 results amid Cameroon exam delays

In Cameroon, the GCE Board has released the 2026 results for Advanced Level, Ordinary Level, and Technical and Vocational Education examinations. Candidates can verify their scores at their respective registration centers or via radio broadcasts.

However, delays in the release of GCE A-Level results have drawn criticism. Ibrahim Yiche, president of the Action party, noted that the delay threatens the ability of Anglophone candidates to apply for various professional schools and entrance exams, such as ENAM and ENSTP, which have already closed or are nearing deadlines. This has created a disparity compared to the Francophone baccalaureate system, which released results earlier.

In France, the 2026 back-to-school season brings several administrative and financial changes. The pension reform is suspended until 2028, affecting retirement ages for those born between 1964 and 1968. Additionally, families can access the 'allocation de rentrée scolaire' (ARS) through the CAF, with payments for children aged 6 to 18 reaching up to approximately €466 per child, depending on income and age. Financial experts also suggest renegotiating electricity, internet, and insurance contracts to mitigate rising costs during this period.
