A 28‑year‑old scout leader of the Éclaireuses et Éclaireurs laïques de Franche‑Comté was placed under judicial control and excluded from the association after being accused of sexually assaulting three girls aged 11 and 12 during a five‑day camp in the Doubs department. The prosecutor in Besançon said the young women were allegedly touched in intimate areas over their clothing. The suspect has been barred from any contact with minors and ordered to undergo medical care. He was formally charged on Wednesday, and a judicial investigation has been opened to identify any additional victims. The allegations emerged when one of the girls reported the abuse to her parents immediately after returning from the camp, prompting a rapid response from police and justice officials.
