France CPF training data shows high usage among unemployed
Recent data regarding the Mon Compte Formation (CPF) platform in France reveals significant trends in how vocational training funds are utilized. Unemployed individuals represent the largest user group, accounting for 47% of all training entries. This usage pattern differs from the traditional perception of the CPF as a tool for active employees to train outside of working hours.
Under current regulations, individuals registered with France Travail are exempt from the €150 co-payment requirement that has been in place since April 2, 2026, allowing them to finance certain training, such as driver's licenses, without personal contribution. Among active employees, workers (30%) use the system more frequently than managers (11%), who often receive employer-funded training.
Demographically, the primary users are aged 26 to 35, making up 33% of all files. When combined with the 36-45 age bracket (26%), these two groups constitute 59% of the total CPF users, reflecting a period of professional transition or career evolution.
