France expands sports and culture subsidies for youth
Local and national initiatives in France are expanding financial support for youth sports and cultural activities. In Carbon-Blanc, the municipality offers a ‘sport and culture coupon’ for residents aged 4 to 18 with a family quotient below 850. These 20€ coupons can be used for various sports and cultural sections, with the amount of assistance scaling based on the family's financial status.
On a broader scale, the national ‘Pass Sport’ program is being reinforced for the 2026-2027 season. The updated program will provide a 50€ reduction for registration fees and will expand its eligibility to include children aged 6 to 13, alongside teenagers, students on scholarships, and youth with disabilities. To better target low-income families, eligibility for those aged 6 to 17 will be based on a CAF or MSA family quotient of 699€ or less. Additionally, the Caisse Nationale d’Allocations Familiales (CNAF) plans to introduce complementary aid in early 2027 to help cover related sporting expenses.
