Bnl Bnp Paribas and Poste Italiane leaders discuss corporate welfare

At the third edition of the Global Welfare Summit 2026 in Rome, leaders from major Italian organizations discussed the evolving role of corporate welfare in a changing demographic landscape.

Elena Goitini, CEO of Bnl Bnp Paribas, emphasized that corporate welfare should serve as an integrative measure to public welfare. She noted that a systemic approach involving companies, institutions, and social partners is necessary to address the welfare gap and reduce inequalities between different types of corporate structures. Bnp Paribas currently operates through 14 distinct entities in Italy to implement these solutions.

Silvia Maria Rovere, President of Poste Italiane, highlighted the increasing responsibility of companies to address not only traditional social security and healthcare needs but also relational needs and work-life balance. She noted that Poste Italiane leverages its national reach to provide essential services, including financial and digital education, to combat the digital divide. Rovere also pointed to the company's role in digital identity, noting that they hold nearly 80% of digital identities in Italy.
