France hosts ‘Biblis en Folie’ library festival

The third edition of ‘Biblis en Folie’ is taking place across France this weekend, featuring more than 3,000 events at libraries and media centers on October 3 and 4. The initiative aims to modernize the image of these institutions and encourage reading habits across all age groups, with a specific focus on re-engaging adolescents.

France maintains one of the densest library networks in the world, with over 15,000 establishments. According to the Ministry of Culture, library attendance reached 146 million entries in 2025, representing an 18% increase compared to 2023.
