France hosts major art exhibitions and festivals in October
France is hosting a diverse array of cultural events and exhibitions throughout October 2026. In Paris, major highlights include a large-scale exhibition dedicated to Paul Cézanne at the Grand Palais, organized in collaboration with the Musée d’Orsay, the Orangerie, and the Centre Pompidou. Other notable Parisian displays include works by Tintoret at the Musée Jacquemart-André, Monet at the Orangerie, and Jenny Holzer at the Musée d’Orsay, alongside the Art Basel Paris event.
Beyond the capital, regional festivals are also prominent. Saint-Malo will host the 45th edition of the Quai des Bulles comic book festival from October 9 to 11, featuring approximately 900 authors and an expected 35,000 visitors. Additionally, the War on Screen festival is scheduled in Châlons-en-Champagne.
