France Identité digital ID now accepted at French airports
Travelers departing from French airports, including those flying to Algeria, can now use the "France Identité" digital application to complete certain airport formalities. This new measure allows passengers to present a digital version of their identity card during baggage drop-off and boarding.
The digital application displays essential verification data, such as the holder's last name, first name, and photograph, without requiring the passenger to expose all information contained on a physical document. This update is not limited to a single airline but applies to all carriers operating from French airports.
Air France has already informed its customers regarding this change. The digital tool, launched by French authorities, previously supported digital versions of driver's licenses and vehicle registration certificates for various administrative procedures.
