Maïtena Biraben to Host New Daily Show on France Inter, Replacing Nagui

Maïtena Biraben, 58, will take over the mid‑morning slot on France Inter from 24 August 2026. She will present a new daily entertainment programme from 11:00 to 12:30, succeeding Nagui’s long‑running show “La Bande originale”, which he hosted for twelve years.

France Inter director Céline Pigalle said Biraben is “a personality hors norme, subtile et sensible” and will be “a cheffe de bande” for the iconic slot. The format will be split into three 30‑minute segments: a round‑table of chroniqueurs, an interview with a guest on current affairs, and a concluding debate. Comedian Daniel Morin will serve as a regular “fil rouge”.

Biraben disclosed in March that she was late‑diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD and high intellectual potential, describing the revelation as “a bus in the face”. Nagui announced his departure in May, ending a 12‑year run that attracted around one million daily listeners. Co‑host Leïla Kaddour‑Boudadi also announced her exit shortly thereafter.
