Les Deux Alpes antisemitism investigation launched after viral video
Authorities in France have launched an investigation following a viral video showing a bar manager in the ski resort of Les Deux Alpes directing antisemitic remarks at an Orthodox Jewish customer. In the footage, the woman is heard saying, “The Jewish community, you are too many. Eventually, people will have had enough.”
The incident has caused significant distress among Jewish families who have vacationed in the region for decades. Some tourists reported additional instances of harassment, including verbal abuse directed at children wearing kippot.
French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez condemned the remarks as an “unacceptable attack on the fundamental values of the Republic.” The Grenoble prosecutor's office is currently reviewing the case and has stated it will explore all legal avenues to resolve the matter.
