France issues food recalls for organic apple juice and canned tuna

Multiple food recalls have been issued across France involving organic apple juice and canned tuna due to health and safety concerns.

Bio Village organic apple juice (6x20cl and 20cl formats) sold at E. Leclerc stores is being recalled due to the presence of patulin, a mycotoxin produced by molds. According to Anses, high doses of patulin can lead to weight loss, intestinal disorders, and kidney function disruption. The affected lots were marketed between September 22 and October 8, 2026.

Additionally, Repère U brand canned tuna (265g and 70g formats) sold at U supermarkets is being recalled due to dented packaging. These defects may cause micro-leaks or improper sealing, potentially leading to product alteration and a lack of sanitary guarantees. Consumers are advised not to consume the affected products.
