France launches annual brioche fundraiser for disability support
The annual ‘Operation Brioches’ fundraising campaign is taking place across France from October 5 to October 11 to support individuals with disabilities.
In the Aude department, the AFDAIM-ADAPEI 11 association is organizing sales throughout the region to fund social actions, cultural and sporting activities, and infrastructure projects for the people they support. In 2025, the association raised 297,000 euros through the sale of 42,800 brioches.
In Arles, the Unapei ‘La Chrysalide’ association is conducting a similar drive to benefit the Mas Saint-Pierre facility. The funds raised from the 6-euro brioches are intended to improve the living conditions of the 69 permanent residents and 35 day-care participants. Specific goals for this year include the renovation of a pétanque court with a pergola and the purchase of a ‘Handi-Mélo’ musical station to enhance resident autonomy and well-being.
