France launches toy collection and promotional campaigns
Ecomaison is expanding its national used toy collection campaign in France for November 2026, deploying over 5,000 collection points—double the amount seen in 2025. The initiative involves 1,500 stores, 1,244 post offices, 1,400 municipal sites, and 850 associations. Post offices will specifically accept non-electric and non-electronic toys. Collected items will be sorted; reusable toys will be cleaned, repaired, or completed for donation or low-cost sale, while irreparable items will be sent to Ecomaison or ecosystem for recycling.
In Strasbourg, the Eurométropole is partnering with Carijou, Ecomaison, and ecosystem for a local collection drive running from November 2 to November 22. This follows a previous successful operation that recovered 3.4 tonnes of toys.
Separately, seven major retailers—including JouéClub, King Jouet, La Grande Récré, Jouets Sajou, Carrefour, Auchan, and Cdiscount—are participating in the ‘Top Chronoël’ promotion. Running from October 28 to October 31, 2026, the contest offers over 8,000 toys to be won via QR codes in store catalogs, aiming to encourage early Christmas shopping during the All Saints' holidays.
