France life insurance collections reach record 41.3 billion euros
Life insurance in France has seen record-breaking growth, with net collections reaching 41.3 billion euros in the first seven months of 2026. This represents an increase of 8.7 billion euros compared to the same period in 2025. July 2026 alone recorded 18.8 billion euros in contributions, surpassing the previous monthly record set in July 2025.
Total assets under management for life insurance contracts have reached 2,174 billion euros. While contributions have risen, benefits and withdrawals also increased by 4% to 14.1 billion euros, partly due to summer spending and purchasing power pressures.
In the competitive landscape of savings products, several insurers are offering enhanced yields for euro funds. Meilleurtaux Placement’s Essentiel Vie contract offers a potential yield bonus of up to 5% for qualifying investments. Additionally, online brokers including Altaprofits, Cashbee Plus, and Linxea Vie have extended their +1.50% yield bonuses on the Netissima fund through December 31, 2026.
