Saudi Arabia to invest €6 billion in three theme parks near Paris FAST-MOVING

France and Saudi Arabia have agreed to a €6 billion ($7 billion) investment to develop a major entertainment complex near Paris. The project, announced during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to France, involves the construction of three theme parks in the Cergy-Pontoise area, northwest of the capital.

The development will be led by Qiddiya, a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund. One of the three planned parks is expected to be themed around the popular Japanese manga and anime franchise, Dragon Ball Z. The project is anticipated to create approximately 22,000 direct jobs.

The initiative reportedly stems from a shared interest in manga discovered between President Emmanuel Macron and the Crown Prince during a meeting in December 2024. Construction is expected to be carried out in stages over several years, though an official opening date has not yet been announced.
