France opens applications for 2027 Eiffel Excellence Scholarship

The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has opened applications for the 2027 France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Programme. This initiative is designed to help French higher education institutions attract top-tier international students for Master’s and Doctoral/PhD programs.

The scholarship targets future decision-makers in both the public and private sectors across several priority fields. These include Science and Technology (Biology and Health, Ecological Transition, Mathematics, and Digital Engineering) and Humanities and Social Sciences (History, French language and civilization, Law and political science, and Economics and management).

Financial benefits for Master’s level students include a monthly allowance of €1,200 starting in January 2026, plus assistance with international and national transportation, insurance, housing searches, and cultural activities. Doctoral level recipients will receive a monthly stipend of €2,100.

Prospective students cannot apply directly to Campus France; instead, they must be selected and nominated by a French higher education institution, which then submits the application through the official platform.
