France organizes large-scale solidarity toy collection in November

A large-scale solidarity toy collection is being organized across various regions in France, including Gard, Nord, and Pas-de-Calais, throughout the month of November. The initiative, supported by eco-organizations Ecosystem and Ecomaison, aims to encourage the reuse and recycling of unused games and toys.

Participants can donate various items, such as electronic toys, indoor games, board games, puzzles, and outdoor equipment, to designated collection points. Collected items are intended to be refurbished and then donated to local associations or sold at solidarity prices to give them a second life.

The campaign seeks to address the fact that many French households store toys for an average of five years before parting with them, and that approximately 27% of French citizens continue to discard toys in household waste due to confusion regarding sorting instructions or lack of knowledge about nearby collection points.
