Property tax notices for 2026 in France will begin being released on August 27, 2026, for taxpayers who do not use monthly payment plans. Those on monthly payment schedules will receive their notices starting September 19, 2026. Payments are generally due by October.

Taxpayers can access digital notices via the official impots.gouv.fr website or mobile application, while paper notices will be mailed according to specific windows between late August and early October.

The 2026 tax calculation includes a 0.8% increase in cadastral rental values, based on the harmonized consumer price index from November 2025. However, total tax amounts may rise more than 0.8% if local authorities decide to increase their specific tax rates or if there have been modifications to the property.
