France reinstates Pass Sport subsidies for children aged 6-13
The French government has published the decree for the 2026-2027 Pass Sport program, officially reinstating eligibility for children aged 6 to 13. This age group had been excluded from the program during the previous season.
Eligible children can receive a 50 euro subsidy to help cover registration costs at clubs affiliated with a sports federation. To qualify, the child must be between 6 and 17 years old, and the household must be a recipient of benefits from the CAF or MSA with a family quotient (quotient familial) of 699 euros or less. The application campaign for this period runs from September 1 to December 31, 2026.
The reinstatement of this age group follows pressure from various stakeholders, including local mayors and sports organizations like the CNOSF, who advocated for the return of the aid. Additionally, a complementary aid from the Caisse nationale des allocations familiales (CNAF) is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027 for families who activated their Pass Sport in the autumn of 2026.
