France Rejects Schengen Suspension with Spain Amid Ceuta Migration Crisis
French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez announced that France will not suspend the Schengen agreement with Spain, rejecting any move similar to Italy's. He said the bilateral cooperation on migration remains very strong and that the reinforced border measures deployed after the Thursday‑Friday incursions in Ceuta will stay in place as long as needed. France will increase security presence, quintuple police forces, tighten railway checks to Spain, and add three border‑police aircraft for aerial surveillance.
