France Schedules 2027 Presidential Debate on Roland‑Garros Court

The first debate of France's 2027 presidential election campaign is set for 27 August on the Philippe‑Chatrier court at Roland‑Garros in Paris. The event will be held as part of the Medef's summer university, drawing about 20,000 business leaders.

Candidates expected to speak include former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, Bruno Retailleau, Raphaël Glucksmann, Jean‑Luc Mélenchon and Marine Le Pen, among others. The debate will focus on issues such as corporate competitiveness, employment and fiscal policy, and is framed as a high‑profile showdown before the campaign intensifies.
